The Banded Langur

The Banded Langur is a Southeast Asian monkey that was considered a single species for more than 100 years but now has been classified into three different categories according to a published journal in Scientific Reports.  The three variants - Higasis Matra Banda Langur, Robinsons Banded Langur and Presbytis femoralis - have black body hair and the white pattern of the face and belly is only slightly different.  The Banded Langur is hard to see as they move quickly and spend most of their time on trees. It is difficult to even take a picture because it moves as soon as it is understood that man approaches.
